Child Abuse Charges for Parents Keeping Infant Caged 23 Hours a Day

Suspicions of child neglect were reported to the Madison County Sheriff’s office on August 2, 2017. The Sherrif’s Office responded to the call, searching the home of Haley Trantham and Vincent Lee II.  They found a malnourished infant, confined to a self-made cage. Detectives report that the infant was fed infrequently and confined to a cage up to 23 hours a day. Parents Haley Trantham and Vincent Lee II were both charged with two counts of child abuse and Haley was also charged with possession of marijuana.
